Public School 134, Lower East Side, NYC

This typical mid-century school building is located at 293 East Broadway between Pitt and Grand Streets, around the corner from the famous Henry Street Settlement.  It was designed in 1958 by Michael L Radoslovich, the Superintendent of School Buildings for New York City from 1952-1969. In addition to the schools he designed himself, Radoslovich collaborated with an astonishing array of modern masters to construct new school structures around the city. This includes the High School of Graphic Communication Arts, which I covered recently.
