50 East Palisade Avenue, Englewood, NJ

50 East Palisade Avenue in Englewood, New Jersey was built in 1970 but evokes a time when reserved, stately buildings lined small downtowns like this one. The stone base and cornice reference earlier classical banks and commercial buildings, while the narrow vertical strips of windows provide a modern accent. The building was most likely built for a bank originally and today Hudson City Savings Bank has a branch there.
