Fort George Station Post Office, Inwood, NYC

This post office dates from 1952 and was designed by the firm of De Rose & Cavalieri, who did work from the teens until the early 60s. Most of their output was one-story factories, offices and garages, almost exclusively in Upper Manhattan. Their office was on 149th Street. It is hard to tell from this image but the facade of the post office curves to follow the street line where Broadway splits off into Nagle Avenue at this intersection.
