Peakland Place Baptist Church, Lynchburg, VA

The A-frame was a very popular design type for churches in the mid-century.  Just a few A-frames we’ve covered in the past can be found  here, here and here. This specific A-frame is the Peakland Place Baptist Church, which was built in 1960. The facade is covered in a stone veneer with a glass window at the front entrance, but as is typical of A-frames, the roofline dominates the structure. A picture of the rather modest interior can be seen here.
