Morgan Hall, Wheeler School, Providence, RI

Built in 1964, this modern school structure sits at the intersection of Hope and Angell Streets, which are lined with more traditional Victorian-era mansions including kitty-corner across Angell Street, the Governor Henry Lippitt House Museum.  It does respect the neighboring buildings with its low-scale and traditional materials, being largely brick with small window openings. It was renovated in 2011 and the school’s website features a photo (first image of the slideshow) of the entrance and rear facade. Note the wall clock, which is most likely original to the building’s construction.
