Camera & Palette, Staunton, VA

This squat commercial building sits at 1 W. Beverley Street among a wealth of Victorian structures in historic downtown Staunton, Virgina. In contrast to its neighbors, it incorporates a decorative plastic screen on the upper portion of the facade and several materials on the lower facade including brick, stucco and a stone aggregate. It was built in 1965 and was originally a financial institution as can be seen from the deposit box still in place on the left of the front facade.
