Niagara Branch Public Library, Buffalo, NY

This very simple one-story structure sits on the corner of Niagara Street and Porter Street, within Prospect Park, a surprisingly prominent intersection for such an inauspicious building. The blue metal panels give the building a small accent of color. It was built in 1957 and designed by Sebastian J. Tauriello, a local architect who is perhaps better remembered for buying the famed Darwin Martin House in the 1950s, a move that helped save it from abandonment and demolition.
