Putnam Science Academy, Putnam, CT

This school complex at 18 Maple Street was originally Putnam Catholic Academy, hence the chapel with stained glass on the right side of the entrance. It was built in 1962, closed at some point in the late 20th century and remained vacant for several years before becoming the Putnam Science Academy.

The chapel kind of seems out of place in this design.

  2. mike says:

the chapel was beautiful in its day. the school closed at the end of the 1977 school year. It was a beautiful, spotlessly clean building.
