149 York Street, Yale University, New Haven, CT

The impression that one gets from this low-rise building at 149 York Street consists primarily of the decorative concrete screen on the second story above a standard base of windows and entrance. The building was purchased by Yale University and remodeled in 1959-60 by the Office of Carleton Granbery for use by the Yale University Press. The Press left the building in 1973 and today it houses the Yale School of Drama and the Digital Media Center for the Arts.
