This unique alteration to a rowhouse structure is located at 45 West 14th Street in Manhattan. Home to the International Union of Painters and Allied Traders, it was altered in the 1960s by Mayer Whittlesley and Glass, also architects of the most famous of the 1950s white-brick apartment buildings, Manhattan House. It was included in a 2005-2006 study by Columbia University’s Preservation Program.
