Gramercy Churches, Gramercy Park, NYC

Previously I’ve already covered St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Byzantine Rite at East 15th Street and Second Avenue. Two other nearby modernist churches include:

Church of the Epiphany (Second Avenue and East 22nd Street) from 1967 by Belfatto and Pavarini. They also designed St. Brendan’s in the Bronx, which will be featured at a later date. The Church of the Epiphany replaced a 1870 structure that was destroyed by fire in 1963.

Another nearby church is the Holy Trinity Slovak Lutheran Church (1964) at 332 East 20th Street. It was designed by Hyland Dinion.
