John E. Forgarty Memorial Building, Providence, RI

This Brutalist building currently sits abandoned in downtown Providence at Fountain and Mathewson Streets. The building was designed in 1968 as Rhode Island State’s welfare office by Castellucci, Galli and Planka, who still exist and continue to do design work for the state. More information on the building and several other Providence mid-century structures can be found here.
