Not So Mundane: Palm Springs Banks

These bank buildings in Palm Springs have been covered to death, but I had to include my own images because these structures are so unique and in pristine condition, although sadly two of the four of them are currently vacant. The first three were designed by prolific Palm Springs architect E. Stewart Williams.

Sante Fe Federal Savings Bank, 1957.

Coachella Valley Savings and Loan Building #2, 1956.

Coachella Valley Savings and Loan Building #3, 1960.

City National Bank, 1959, Victor Gruen and Associates, architects. Inspired by Le Corbusier’s Chapel of Notre Dame du Haut.
