Modern Church Extension in Huntington, NY

This is an interesting church extension to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Huntington, NY. It was originally built as the Nursery School extension in 1964. The facade is an amazing 1960s time capsule with an aggregate facing, stone accents on the end walls, and hanging globe lights in each arched recess. In 2000 the rear of the extension was renovated and expanded for changing needs of the congregation. Still it’s wonderful that they left the front intact.
