Madonna Hall (334 Porter Street) is another modern structure on the D’Youville campus, albeit ten years earlier (1958-59) then the College Center across Porter Street. It was built (originally as a dormitory) by the same architecture firm, Foit and Baschnagel.
Madonna Hall harkens to the International Style with alternating bands of windows and masonry. The base of the structure is covered in a stone veneer with large windows and the floors above clad in tan brick with green accent materials between the windows. The roof has an unusual canopy structure, which seems to be original as it shows up in a 1960 advertisement for materials used on the building.
